So i'm back from wonderful , beautiful , amazing Rome CX! Where to start , well we had a great time . We landed there around 1 in the afternoon so we got to go sight seeing after arriving. :D. Our hotel was completely like one of those hotels you see in the Italian movies. It's so hard to explain in words you just have to see the pictures. We made friends with of the hotel staff members , since he was so nice to us and all. We easily connected with him and we shared contact information before we left. I'll tell you guys in a minute why mainly got contact CX. Anyways we didn't go any where far on the 1st day , but on the 2nd day we went to see the Colosseum, palatino, Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II, and just walking around the area looking at shops and also having a delicious piece of pizza! The second day we went to see piazza d. Pietra, fontana di trevi, piazza colonna, palazzo madama, pizza navona, and Pizzale porta pia. I have to tell you that pizala porta pia was the gate into Rome, can you belive that there was a whole wall built around of Rome. Unfortunately today the wall is not much , there are few bits and pieces here and there. They have much detireated over time , there trying to preserve some of it today. Also they have built in many of the old ruins in with the houses , so that's good in a way to.
The 3rd day we left completely for Vatican City ( just for note I am not christian , we only went to see it because it has become a tourist attraction.) Now on this trip is where something terrible happen, we got on the bus to come to Vatican city. We didn't have bus tickets because we were under the impression that we pay on the bus, so we forgot for awhile . Then these three men with blue shirts got on the bus and were asking for tickets, my dad pulled out some money and said oh here. I forgot to pay, but the guy was all like give me your passports so we gave them . Then he told us to get out of the bus and he was all like because you didn't buy a ticket we have to fine you 100 euros each and we were trying to tell him we didn't know ..but nooo he kept yelling and yelling at as. Finally he took off my charge and made my mom and dad pay. He said if my parents gave 50 euros now they wouldn't have to pay 100 euros. So my dad payed 50 euros and my mom got a ticket of 100 euros. So we just did that and left, but one of the older ticket guys kept saying in Italian like don't charge them don't charge them. But the younger dude kept saying no no I have to. So when we were done visiting the Vatican and castle san angelo, we bought tickets and got onto the bus. We were just sitting and enjoying the view of Italy since it was our 1st time and all. Suddenly another group of 3 guys with blue shirts got on again. They were coming down the aisle asking for tickets, so we showed him our tickets and he's all like let me see your passport again! Quickly my mom was like no we don't have them and my dad followed, and he's like you didn't stamp your card you didn't stamp it! So he took the tickets and when our stop came he didn't let us go out and he kept pushing my dad down and my dad was telling let me get up . Then my mom yelled and quickly got out of the bus with my dad and me. But before that this guy who was sitting next to me showed his ticket to the ticket guy and he didn't have it stamped either....but he let him go. Then these 3 ladies in the back of the bus kept yelling before when the guy was checking our tickets. When were getting off the bus , the lady was yelling "do you think this is Italy?" "do you think you can do whatever you want?" "the ticket machine is right there!" " you think Italy is lawless and you can do whatever!!?!" So I got the message that she was yelling at us trying to tell us that we were trying to cut corners and not pay. Because one you stamp the ticket your time begins and there thinking were trying to cut corners. So anyways after we got off that guy was like you wanna fight you wanna fight? To my dad , gladly he didn't hear otherwise there would be more problems. So the other guy was all like you know that you need to punch the stamp in you know you know, it was in English!. My mom kept saying we didn't know we didn't know. Then he said " all the Chinese and Indians say the same thing.". So then my mom said call the police and he kept kept saying he did call the police. So he kept us sitting in the heat and then my mom figured out that he didn't call the police , so she said I can't sit in the heat I can't. So she moved us into the shade and pulled my dad along , then one of the guys kept telling the younger guys to let us go because we were tourist. But the younger ones were adamant on keeping us here all day if they had to. Then this bus came and one of the guys pulled them over and he told my dad to come inside the bus and read the rules. But my mom didn't let him go instead she went and what she did was kept one foot in between the door and read the rules. In that split second the bus conductor quickly told the bus driver to close the door, so he could run off with my mom in bus!!! He mainly wanted to take my dad so he could probably take him some where and beat him up!!!!! My mom was so smart she quickly kicked the door came out screaming and grabbed me and my dad and walked back to the hotel. Those guys didn't come after us because they were afraid, because my mom yelled they knew what they were doing was wrong. After this honestly I think we all kind of got disappointed by Italy and the whole trip.
Well anyways we didn't let that get to us to much and we enjoyed the rest of our trip, on the 4th day we went to see Villa Medici, Piazzza del popolo, Spanish steps, Gardini Piazza Vittorio, Circus Maximus, and Fontana del Tritone. The rest of the day my dad wanted to relax CX. So we had some pizza and relaxed away and got depressed in morning that we had to leave, but my dad had a surprise up his sleeve. We went to Madrid for 2 days as well before we came back home. We flew in Iberia airlines from Rome to Madrid. It was a bit weird because they charge you for a drink and they don't give you a sip of water. So even if someone is dehydrating you don't get water unless you pay 2.50 euros for it. Then all the passengers scream when you go through turbulence, and they have the same seats in coach and 1st class which was a bit weird to lols. Other than that the seats were pretty big and the landing was nice.
So we spent 2 days in Spain and came back home in a straight shot to Dallas :D. So even though we went through some bad moments we had an over all great time in Italy and Spain C:. I felll in love with Rome , so I convinced my mom into letting me go to Rome for 3 months next summer to learn Italian :D. So lets see how that goes Cx.
I'll also be uploading the pictures today C:
